Posterous is a great service, we set one up a while ago and it's made blogging a lot easier to do. Blogging is always something I try to do all the time but it is a massive time sink when your starting out. Posterous has made it easier for sure, it's kinda like the twitter of blogging, you can get away with nice short posts and it still looks good because the layout is nice.

I like Posterous, because I can post to many different services: Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, even Blogger and WordPress. I also like the default theme -- it's crisp and clean.

Just set up a project blog using Posterous for a small project that I'm doing with the PMI New Media Council. We're working on something for the fall PMI Congress. The set-up process was a snap. Within minutes we were posting to our new blog. I'll let you know how it goes.

Great stuff. A couple of years ago I began using a simple blog at my company (Palm Harbor Homes) to encourage discussions about how Lean applied to our factory homebuilding system. I found it to be a fun and effective way to communicate, and it looks like the solution you discuss in your post is even more effective as a project communication tool. The only challenges I've faced with using a blog (or anything other than e-mail for that matter) is that some folks in the construction industry tend to shy away from current technology enough to limit their participation. But, that's a barrier that can be overcome in time. Again, great stuff!

Didn't know about ycombinator connection. Just like the two products. I just looked at Rescuetime. Not a tool I'll be using in my company. Just read that the most productive people in an office are often those people who use the Internet for personal use. Forget where I read that.

Looks like you're a ycombinator fan! (They funded Posterous and Weebly).

Have you looked into Rescuetime? Different problem domain, same funders.

I absolutely agree that Posterous is about as easy as it gets for a group of people to create a blog. I think, though, that a local search feature and support for collaborative tagging will be needed to make it useful once the posts start piling up. Still, it's very impressive compared with the cumbersome nature of getting a group of people to collaborate using Google Docs.
