Sorry for not posting on lean project delivery, but September was a very busy month. In short, I anticipated it would take 3 months to sell my house. Instead, lucky me, it took 3 days. And the buyer wanted to get in close to opening day of school. We had no where to go. Our plan is to build a new home. After moving out, moving in to a temporary location, and then moving into a furnished condo we are finally settled. No complaints…I'm living in a town with a population of 305 completely surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest. It couldn't be better.
I'm back to blogging. I've found a way to read a little and to innovate a little in between packing, hauling and unpacking. I'll post tomorrow on careers, Bill Gates and monks. Don't worry, I'm still writing about projects, lean, kaizen, and construction. Maybe my hiatus will be good for writing…

Well, woohoo!!!! Glad you are back, Hal, sounds like quite the adventure with selling your house. The joy of the “empty nest” eh??!!
Look forward to your input!

Hal,
Welcome back - I always learn something from your posts. This time I learnt that you really have something to look forward to. Being a Brit, I had to research where the White Mountains were, and the ‘Autumn in the Whites’ picture on the Park Site (http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/white_mountain/) has me full of envy.
Are you going to the APLN Summit in Richmond in a couple of weeks? If so, I’ll see you there.
Regards

Hello Hal,
how are you. I am still following your stuff, although, as you know I do not post comments much now. Too busy doing workshops in France and playing erhu. I finally got something going on a blog…probably because it is only once a month; you can read my controversial mini-ponderings at www.projecttimes.com, thanks to my friend Dave Barrett. There are 4 blogs there. Mine I am sure you will spot right away….it is titled «Surviving the Project Age» hehehe
Kudos for your new setup; Johanna Rothman just did the same switch. Once I get really serious about writing regularly a blog, I’ll follow your advise and go to Kim Black for help !
So long Great Reformer !
